The Magic Canvas Coating and Glue for HVAC

When applied in two coats with reinforcing cotton fabric embedded between coats, Canvas coating provides a protective surface for insulation on prefabricated Air Conditioning Ducts and cold water pipework. Additional vapor barrier protection is recommended when relative humidity reaches 75% for extended periods of time, or when insulated piping or equipment includes chilled water, brine, or refrigerant. Gray and White colors are available.

Flexible Adhesive And Sealant

This one-component HVAC Canvas Coating with a robust and flexible adhesive and sealant that provides a long-lasting air leakage seal. It can be used both outdoors and indoors in thermal insulation systems on ducting attachments because of its exceptional water and UV abrasion resistance.

Westron canvas glue It is a high-strength single-component duct canvas coating with a flexible adhesive and sealant that provides a long-lasting air/water seal. It can be utilized in both indoor and outdoor thermal insulation systems due to its outstanding water and UV abrasion resistance.

Application area

• Finishing insulation materials with reinforcing fabric (e.g. canvas cloth on air conditioning ducts)
• Coating cold-water pipes
• The coating on Polystyrene or Polyurethane foam
• Coating to the seams or margins of fiber duct liner insulations to seal and prevent air leaking

Storage and Shelf-Life

12 months from the date of manufacture if stored in a dry, cool location with a temperature of 30°C or less.

Precautions

When applying, wear protective gloves, glasses, and a face shield. The product should only be used in a well-ventilated environment. If direct contact occurs, immediately rinse with water. Do not consume. Keep out of children’s reach.

Canvas Cloth:

Canvas is frequently used in conjunction with mastics or coatings as a protective layer over the pipe and duct insulation. The canvas is available in 6 oz. and 8 oz. variants. Galvanized Steel ducting is insulated with its 100 percent cotton fabric.

Moreover, Canvas is a woven cloth consisting primarily of cotton and, to a lesser extent, linen. It’s known for being tough, long-lasting, and heavy-duty. Canvas can be made water-resistant or even waterproof by combining cotton and synthetic fibers, making it an excellent outdoor cloth.
